Caterpillar Pose: Sit with your legs straight out in front of you and fold forward, reaching your hands towards your feet. If you can’t reach your feet, use props for support. Stay in this pose for 3-5 minutes, feeling a stretch in your hamstrings and lower back.
Dragonfly Pose: Sit on the floor with your legs wide apart. Fold forward and reach for your feet or use props for support. Stay in this pose for 3-5 minutes, feeling a stretch in your inner thighs and hips.
Reclining Butterfly Pose: Lie on your back with the soles of your feet together and your knees wide apart. Place your hands on your belly and take deep breaths, feeling your belly rise and fall with each inhale and exhale. Stay in this pose for 2-3 minutes.
Thread the Needle Pose: Start on your hands and knees. Thread your right arm through the space between your left arm and left knee, coming down onto your right shoulder and ear. Hold for 2-3 minutes, then switch sides and repeat.
Seated Forward Fold: Sit with your legs extended in front of you and fold forward, reaching for your feet or using props for support. Stay in this pose for 3-5 minutes, feeling a stretch in your hamstrings and lower back.
These Yin yoga poses can help release tension in the gallbladder meridian, which can support the gallbladder’s function of storing and releasing bile. Remember to breathe deeply and hold each pose for a few minutes, allowing your body to relax and release tension.
