What is PET?

PET is an acronym for Pranic Energization  Technique. This is an advanced technique of yoga in which  we  use  our  Prana Shakti to energies our entire body. Each and every  organ and system of the body can be revitalized by this process. Of particular importance will be its utility for strengthening the immune defence so that the modern dreaded killers – Cancer, Aids, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc can be effectively healed.

What is that Prana sakti that we use in PET?

”Prana is the basic fabric of the whole creation”, says Prasna upanishad. The Prana  is defined thus. All that exists in all the three worlds is under the governance of Prana. Oh Prana, (please) protect us, your children as a mother and grant us the (real) wealth and wisdom.

In the human system this Prana has five functional manifestations called Prana, Apana, Samana, Udana and Vyana which exist in the Pranic body (called Pranamaya Kosa) and operate in the

Region of head and chest, below the navel, abdomen, along the alimentary canal/the spinal canal and all over the surface of the body respectively. These five Pranas(Pancha Pranas) control the physiological functions in the physical body. Prana governs all functions in the upper regions and mainly respiration; Apana those in  the lower regions and mainly  excretion and urination; Samana, those in the abdominal regions and mainly the digestion; Udana those which arc upward and mainly Belching,  vomiting,  anti-peristaltic movements and in its subtle form, Kundalini movements; Vyana all through the body particularly the sense of touch. These Pranas are subtle, hence are powerful.

While in Pet all the five aspects of Prana are felt, it is Vyana that is mainly used for Energization and revitalization.

Normally Prana cannot be felt unless we have very high sensitivity levels with a corresponding deep relaxation. Hence, PET systematically trains the practitioner to feel the Prana starting from breath awareness. From the simple to the gross, known to the subtle unknown is the approach of Science and also that of Yoga.

We now present the modern medical understanding of our breathing apparatus and the mechanism of breathing. This will give the necessary knowledge  base for developing  the breath awareness as a first step. This chapter also presents the secret of alternate nostril breathing and balancing of breath between the two nostrils as a prerequisite to going deeper into the realms of Prana.

These techniques cleanses the respiratory tract, normalizing the functions of respiratory systems purifying the subtle channels of PRANA, bringing the balance in PRANAMAYA KOSHA and gaining deeper and subtler insights for the control of Prana. Thus all ORGANS and SYSTEMS gets revitalized and energized and brings harmony in the body and mind. All ailments can be eliminated from body and the root cause from mind is also eliminated.
