Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training
- Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic and physically demanding form of yoga that follows a specific sequence of postures (asanas) and movements linked with breath (vinyasa). Ashtanga yoga teacher training is a program designed to provide a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of this traditional style of yoga.
- The training typically includes an exploration of the history and philosophy of Ashtanga yoga, the study of the primary series (a set sequence of postures), proper alignment and modifications, hands-on adjustments, breath control (pranayama), and meditation techniques.
- Students in Ashtanga yoga teacher training can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the practice, develop their teaching skills, and learn how to guide others safely and effectively through the Ashtanga yoga sequence. Upon completion of the training, participants may be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a registered yoga teacher (RYT) at the 200-hour or 500-hour level.
