TTC – 200 Hr  Teacher Training Certificate Course in Bangalore, India.

Week-End Yoga Teacher Training Certificate courses are designed for college-going students and working professionals. The duration of this course is approximately 2 months. The classes are conducted from  am to pm, on weekends and public holidays. Since the total teaching hours required for completion of certificate course, if it is not available on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and public holidays hence efforts are made to complete the course. Personal attention and doubt clearing time were given to each and every student. The classes can be extended during weekdays and public holidays in order to complete the syllabus on time. Batch venue and timings are subjected to periodic changes as per the availability of classrooms and faculties.

Karuna Yoga provides a completely student-centered, authentic comprehensive approach to Hatha Yoga. This training program has been properly structured keeping in mind the diversity of students based on their mental and physical capabilities. This training program, based on the traditional Hatha Yoga practice which has been practiced by Yogis for thousands of years. Our Yoga Teachers are trained in the traditional methods by exemplary Yoga Gurus. This programme has been designed not just to train the physical body, but to initiates ones spiritual journey towards self-realization by unioning the body, mind and soul.

Eligibility Criteria

    • This course is open to all students who wish to deepen their knowledge and application of some of the highest teachings of yoga. Participants do not need to be yoga teachers. Mastery of any yoga practice is not necessary. Only your sincere desire for knowledge and your commitment to personal growth. Even if you do not wish to are required to be a yoga teacher, you may attempt this course to deepen the understanding of the philosophies as well as for the intense purification experience and for the personality development. Classes start at the Beginners’ Level and progress through to the Intermediate Level.
    • Students’ age should be minimum of 18 years, for students below 18, written permission of the parents is required. If applicable, we will send a form that has to be filled out by the parents and returned to us.
    • Students should be physically and mentally fit to follow the rigorous course schedule.
    • Pregnant women are not accepted due to the physical intensity of the course.
    • There is no minimum experience requirement.
    • The applicant must be ready to adapt to the ashram and yogic lifestyle.
    • You must have a genuine desire to work hard, adapt and grow beyond your comfort zone
    • You must be mentally and physically fit to take the course
    • You must be able to understand Basic English
    • Please note that the course is very intensive and needs hard work and a sincere desire to learn and practice the yogic principles and practices.

Dr. S. Karuna Murthy is one of the most experienced Yogi practicing the ancient and the greatest Yoga tradition since he was 18 years of age. Following in the footsteps of his inspiration Swami Sivananda who was also the founder of Divine Life Society, has mastered the ancient Yoga traditions that only a few in this world are familiar with.

He completed M. Sc from Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samasthana University and Ph. D from Bharathidasan University. Besides, Dr. S. Karuna Murthy has also completed TTC and ATTC and is registered E-RYT-500 with American Yoga Alliance. Those qualifications depict his expertise in the context of Yoga and mastering Yoga Teaching methodology.

With the immense interest to serve the people with the ancient Yoga techniques, he also served as a Yoga therapist at S-VYASA, Bangalore. He has also served as a Yoga lecturer at Bharathidasan University and at overseas in the Cali Wow fitness Center.

With these impressive accomplishments, throughout his journey to being a master Yogi and an expert in Multi styles of Yoga, Dr. Karuna Murthy has developed an incredible scientific view of every Yoga practice. 7. Project Writing

   Description: Related to Yoga, Minimum 50 pages, for TTC .

Tutorials, Assignment and Examination

    • Trainee will be required to engage in self-study and submit daily & weekly assignments on the basis of the day’s lectures and discussions.

    • There will be a practical and a theory exam at the end of the course to assess the students on their learning, practice and teaching during the Teacher Training Course.

8.Field Training

  • Each student has to complete 50 hours of teaching yoga under the guidance of a certified lead yoga instructor.
  • This can be completed within one month to maximum of three months, depending on the dedication and time commitment of the student.
  • Upon completing the 50 hours, the student will be rewarded with his/ her certificate, affiliated by the yoga alliance USA.

Certification

On successful completion of the course, trainee is qualified to register with Yoga Alliance, USA, to recognize as a Certified International Yoga Teachers-RYT 200.

Assessment and Certification

The students are continuously assessed throughout the course at all levels. There will be a practical as well as written examination at the end of the course to evaluate the understanding of the philosophy of Yoga and skills of the students. Participant should pass all different aspects of the course to be eligible for the Yoga teacher Training Course.

Assessment is based on

    1. Regular attendance of all classes.

    1. Attitude and behaviour inside and outside of the ashram while attending the course.

    1. Performance and attitude in the practical asana, pranayama, bandhas and kriya classes.

    1. Hatha yoga teaching skills.

    1. Written daily summary of the main philosophy classes and Hatha yoga theory classes.

    1. Upon successful completion of the course students receive the Certificate of the Karuna Yoga.
