What is Kali Yuga?
Kali Yuga is the fourth and the final age in the cycle of four Yugas or ages in Hinduism, according to the scriptures. It is believed to be the age of darkness, chaos, and spiritual decline. Kali Yuga is said to have begun after the end of Dvapara Yuga and is expected to last for 432,000 years. The Puranas and other Hindu texts describe the characteristics of Kali Yuga, which include widespread corruption, greed, war, famine, disease, and moral decay. It is believed that in Kali Yuga, the spiritual path is the most difficult to follow, and humanity is farthest away from the ultimate goal of liberation or moksha. However, it is also believed that this age offers the greatest opportunity for spiritual growth and evolution, as the challenges faced by humanity in Kali Yuga can help accelerate the process of individual and collective spiritual awakening.
