Yoga belongs to which religion?

Yoga originated in ancient India and is rooted in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain traditions. While yoga has its roots in these religious and philosophical systems, it is not considered to be a religion itself. Yoga is a spiritual practice that can be practiced by people of any religion or no religion at all. The physical postures (asanas) that are commonly practiced in yoga classes are just one aspect of the larger system of yoga, which also includes breathwork (pranayama), meditation (dhyana), and ethical guidelines (yamas and niyamas). Overall, yoga is a holistic practice that can help individuals cultivate greater physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, regardless of their religious or cultural background.
