What is Satya Yuga?
- Satya Yuga, also known as the Age of Truth, is the first of the four Yugas (ages) in Hinduism. According to Hindu mythology, each Yuga lasts for thousands of years and is characterized by a different set of societal and environmental conditions.
- Satya Yuga is considered the golden age of humanity when people were inherently truthful, virtuous, and spiritual. It is believed that during this age, humans were in complete harmony with nature and lived a simple and peaceful life. There was no discrimination, no wars, and no crime, and people lived in perfect harmony with each other and with the divine.
- The Satya Yuga is believed to have lasted for 1,728,000 years, and it was followed by Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and Kali Yuga, respectively. These four Yugas collectively form a cycle that repeats itself indefinitely.
