Blood pressure (BP)
It’s the lateral pressure excreted by blood on blood vessels. It’s normally expressed as arterial pressure. It has 2 phases:
- Systolic blood pressure: it’s the maximum pressure occurs during the systole of the heart range from 100 to 120 mm
- Diastolic blood pressure: it’s the minimum pressure occurs during the diastole of the heart range between 60 to 80 mm Hg.
Pulse pressure is the difference between systolic and diastolic blood pressure and it’s nearly 40 mm Hg.
